Studio update and events

November 20, 2013

It’s been quite a long journey that started last Spring, but we are thrilled to say that we have finally found a studio space! We are located in Brooklyn, NY, specifically down in Sunset Park. You can scroll down and see our new mailing address. In a place like New York City where it is war zone for finding industrial property, we are so thrilled to snatch up our little corner of paradise, and a place that we can completely call our own. We’re among some really amazing artists here and, for the time being, are so happy to call it home. Plus percussionists are just pack rats at heart and need a place to put all their stuff!

In addition, we also have some updates about upcoming events. Next Monday, November 25th at 7pm we will be performing at New York Live Arts in Manhattan. Admission is free and there are great happy hour specials. We will be performing what we call our “portable set” which will even include a brand new piece that we have been writing ourselves. Come see what interesting music percussionists can play on smaller instruments!

On December 16th and 17th we will be in Philadelphia as teaching artists for the American Paradigm Schools’ MUSIC Fest. Over these two days we will work with students from Philadelphia Charter Schools teaching them about chamber music and percussion. On Tuesday the 17th at 1:30pm we will give a concert featuring works by John Cage and Steve Reich and may even have some guest appearances by the students themselves.

That’s a wrap for this year. We have some exciting things planned for 2014, so don’t forget to visit our website and get updates about upcoming events. We also have a few new videos on our YouTube channel from recent performances, and some recordings on our SoundCloud. Watch and Listen!

Happy Holidays!
