Dear friends,

This past January, we had the incredible opportunity to perform an NPR Tiny Desk Concert—a dream come true for us. Tiny Desk has been a source of inspiration for over a decade, presenting artists we admire, like Sō Percussion and Third Coast Percussion, and helping us discover new artists like Moon Hooch. Of course, we’ve also watched performances by international superstars like Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift, making it all the more surreal to take our place by that desk.

For our set, we performed Tiny Desk versions of some of our favorite pieces: Pillar III and Karakurenai by Andy Akiho, and Water, Wine, Brandy, Brine by Viet Cuong. To make the moment even more special, both composers were there with us, and Andy even joined in for a co-performance.

We also learned about a Tiny Desk tradition: every artist leaves behind a keepsake that gets stored on the wall behind the desk. So next time you’re watching a performance, keep an eye out—you just might spot one of our wine glasses!
