Hello everyone,
Applications are open for the 2021 NYU Sandbox Percussion Seminar, which will take place this summer from August 1-6! Like last summer, this year’s seminar will take place virtually, and this format has allowed us to invite a robust roster of guests from all over the world – including John Luther Adams, Amy Beth Kirsten, David Lang, Kristin Lee, and Kendall Williams.
These guests, along with the members of Sandbox Percussion, will be available to all participants within an intimate learning format where dialogue and interaction are encouraged. The week is packed with masterclasses and conversations, and it will culminate with a virtual performance of a new work by Kendall Williams featuring everyone involved in the seminar!

This seminar has always been a highlight of our year. We cherish the lasting relationships that we form with all the participants, and we’re excited to continue to forge these relationships in these uncharted circumstances.
