We’re very excited to announce the release of our first ever film portrait with MUSIC822. MUSIC822 is a brand new organization founded by pianist Justin Sergi which fuses musical performance with genuine and enthusiastic speaking in an effort to intrigue new and enthusiastic listeners. Featured in this inaugural project is Part and Parcel by Thomas Kotcheff. We’ve been playing Thomas’ music a lot over the past few years and are thrilled to share with you this interview/performance installment. A huge thank you to Justin Sergi and producer Abe Zverow for their vision. Keep an eye out for more installments from this exciting new organization!
If you’re in NYC and want to see us in concert then you’re in luck! We’re celebrating the Holidays with our fourth return to Concerts on the Slope as ensemble in residence on Sunday, December 20th at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Brooklyn at 3pm. We’ll be giving the world premieres of two new pieces by our own Jonny Allen and Victor Caccese. We’re also joining Elspeth Davis for the U.S. premiere of 4 Miniatures for Soprano and Percussion Quartet by Bekah Simms.
That’s all for now. There’s a lot happening in 2016 so stay tuned!
Happy Holidays!
