Fall 2015 news

It’s been a great summer and our skin is sun-kissed, but it’s now September and we are so excited to share some concert dates to kick off this fall season!

Last spring our most recent member Terry Sweeney graduated from the Yale School of Music with his masters degree. He has since made the glorious move to Brooklyn, NY. For the first time ever all four of us are living and working in the same city. Time to spread out those rehearsal hours. Welcome to the jungle, Terry!

This Saturday, September 12th we will be returning to the Concerts by the Sea series at St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Little Compton, RI. We’re featuring a reinterpreted performance of Alex Weiser’s Resonance in Rhythm, some favorites by Steve Reich and Thomas Kotcheff as well as originals by Victor and Jonny. Get your tickets here!

We’ve been invited by our good friend and extraordinary percussionist Mika Godbole to perform on her music festival Unruly Sounds in Princeton, NJ. The concert is on September 27th at the Princeton Public Library and we will be performing two pieces by Princeton composer, Dave Molk. Ian will also be playing a few pieces with Andy Akiho and his group Foundry. It’s guaranteed to be a fun afternoon, and we hope to see you there!

On October 2nd we head up to Wallingford, CT for a performance at Choate Rosemary Hall. We’re playing in the Paul Mellon Arts Center at 7:30pm. Get your tickets here!

That’s all for now. We have some new commissions in the works this year as well as some new pieces written by us, so stay tuned!
