It’s been a few weeks now since we returned home from our California tour. We had an incredible time making stops in San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Jose, Fresno, San Francisco, and Sacramento as well as Lawrence and Wichita, Kansas on our way over. We met some amazing people along the way had the opportunity to share our repertoire with some incredibly enthusiastic audiences. Thanks to all who made it such a fun, successful trip! Check out our Facebook page for archived videos of our live streamed concerts from the tour. A special thanks to Kjell van Sice for snapping some new press photos for us!
We haven’t forgotten about our lovely home field New York though! We have a FREE concert this Thursday, December 8th at 6:30pm at the Dominique Lévy Gallery in Manhattan. This concert is a celebration of the exhibit on Joel Shapiro, and finding the similarities within his sculptures and some of the percussion quartet repertoire. Mr. Shapiro describes his work as “the projection of thought into space without the constraint of architecture.” With slight variations in form he speaks of his work as “unfolding in time and space.” We’ll be performing music by John Cage, Andy Akiho, David Crowell, and Steve Reich.
Please rsvp to ada@dominique-levy.com if you plan to attend. We hope to see you there!
Happy Holidays!
