Sandbox Percussion & Verboten invites you to SUPPERCLUB: An evening of percussive rhythms paired with culinary compositions. 
Join us as we present our first ever concert at Brooklyn’s megaclub, Verboten in collaboration with composer Ricardo Romaneiro. In this unique concert setting the audience will be seated and standing around the ensemble stationed on the main dance floor. Featuring a 270 degree wall visualizer and projection mapping by Christian Hannon we’ll be performing music by Steve Reich, David Lang, Jason Treuting, Ricardo Romaneiro, Victor Caccese, and Jonny Allen. Also on the program is music by NoisioN & Vasko Dukovski (clarinet), solo bass improvisations by Ramin Abrams, after-party music by Leo Leite, & special guest Du Yun’s part band/part ensemble Ok Miss

Applications are now open for the Sandbox Percussion Summer Seminar at NYU. From August 1-6 students will participate in a period of intense studying, rehearsing and performing with members of Sandbox Percussion, NYU Steinhardt Professor Simon Boyar, and guest artist Andy Akiho. We’ll be featuring some core percussion chamber music repertoire along with new commissions and original works by us. Priority applications are due by April 15, 2016 and final application deadline is May 2nd. Apply now!

February 12th we’re making our way down to Philadelphia for a concert with LiveConnections at World Cafe Live. We will be giving the world premiere of in the sand for percussion quartet and cello by Alyssa Weinberg along with cellist Gabriel Cabezas. Also featured on this program is music by Steve Reich, Jason Treuting, and Andy Akiho. Doors are at 6:30pm and show at 7:30. Get tickets here!
