Seven Pillars - Constellations Chamber Concerts

Constellations Chamber Concerts presented the DMV-area premiere of Andy Akiho's Seven Pillars, performed by Sandbox Percussion with stage direction and lighting design by Michael Joseph McQuilken.

The seven main movements form a palindrome, with a solo movement for each member of the quartet. Akiho and Sandbox developed the work over about eight years, including extended residencies at Avaloch Farm Music Institute.
