Joan Tower World Premiere - Chamber Music Northwest

Chamber Music Northwest's program Incandescence opened with the world premiere of Joan Tower's To Sing or Dance, written for and dedicated to Artistic Director Soovin Kim and Sandbox Percussion. The work was co-commissioned by Chamber Music Northwest, the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival and Emerald City Music.
Soovin Kim and pianist Gloria Chien completed the program with Bartók's Violin Sonata No. 2 and Beethoven's "Kreutzer" Sonata.
