The Jump Up! at UC San Diego

Presented as part of La Jolla Playhouse's WOW Festival, in partnership with UC San Diego Professor Steven Schick and red fish blue fish, Sandbox Percussion gave the West Coast premiere of Douglas J. Cuomo's THE JUMP UP!, directed by Mark DeChiazza.

Cuomo wrote the piece for Sandbox and volunteer percussionists from the local community. The musicians moved through the Epstein Family Amphitheater, and the audience was free to move among them. The free performance included players from red fish blue fish, One fish two fish and the San Diego Youth Symphony.
